You will want to buy armour, torches and weapons.
~ Buy the torches at the General Store.
~ Buy the armour at the Armour Shop.
~ Buy the weapon(s) at the Weapon Shop.

When your HP is low, you can either rest or go to the Temple Healer and type BUY HEAL to heal yourself.
The Stone Stairwell leads down to the Arena where you fight different creatures to gain experience. Type D to go down. Type U to go up.
Borrow a skiff from the Ferryman to go to Silvermere.
